Charles Darwin stated that ‘It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.’ Life on Mars will require unprecedented change, resilience and adaptability, to not only survive, but to create a thriving colony. A colony that is not simply a scientific, economic or social experiment, but a new home certain of uncertainty, wonder and inspiration for the people we leave behind.
Education doesn’t mean I am intelligent; but I have a strong academic background and passion for teaching and learning.
Age doesn’t mean I am wise; but in 36 years I have overcome physical adversity, had a family, travelled, trekked and climbed, loved and been loved and found fulfilment.
